12.18cr voters in country

The Election Commission (EC) has published the finalised list of the country’s voters.

According to the list, the number of voters in the country is now 12,18,50,160. Of them, 6,21,44,587 are male while 5,97,04,641 are female and 932 transgender voters.

Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Habibul Awal released the final list of the country’s voters at an event organised at Nirbachan Bhaban in the capital marking the National Voter's Day on Saturday (March 2).

The CEC expressed deep grief on behalf of the Election Commission over the death of 46 people in a fire in a building on Bailey Road in Dhaka.
