13 Bangladeshi cricketers register for IPL auction

A number of 13 Bangladeshi cricketers have registered their names to be part of the upcoming IPL mega auction.

The auction will be held on November 24 and 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The IPL authorities said in a statement on Tuesday that a total of 1,574 cricketers have registered for the auction. Among them, 1,165 are Indian cricketers and 409 foreigners. Only 204 people will get the chance to play through auction from the final list.

Among foreign cricketers, South Africa has registered the highest number of 91 names, followed by Australia with 76. Besides, 52 cricketers from England, 39 from New Zealand, 33 from West Indies, and 29 from Afghanistan and Sri Lanka each have registered.

Moreover, 12 cricketers from the Netherlands, 10 from the United States, 4 from Canada, and 1 each from the United Arab Emirates and Italy have also registered their names.
