175 platoons BGB deployed ahead of 4th round of upazila election

A number of 175 platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel have been deployed across the country to maintain law and order situation during the fourth phase of the Sixth Upazila Parishad elections.

The BGB will work as a mobile and striking force to maintain peace and order in the electoral area from June 3 to June 7 to support the local civil administration in the elections scheduled to be held on June 5, says a press release.

According to the release, in the first, second and third phases of the UP polls, 300 platoons, 457 platoons and 418 platoons of BGB were deployed respectively across the country.
