184 get CIP status

As many as 184 businesspersons have been honoured with CIP (commercially important person) status for the year 2022.

The commerce ministry and the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) jointly organised a hand over ceremony at a city hotel on Thursday.
State Minister for Commerce Ahsanul Islam Titu handed over the CIP cards to the selected persons at the event.

Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) President Mahbubul Alam was present at the function,

Of the award winners, 140 businesspersons received the status for their outstanding performance in the export category. And 44 individuals from different trade chambers and bodies got the cards in the ex-officio category.

Eminent business personalities are recognised every year for their extraordinary performance and contribution under export and trade categories.
