2 children hurt while playing with abandoned crude bomb
In Monirampur Upazila of Jashore, Two children suffered injuries in a crude bomb explosion while they were playing with it. The explosion resulted in one child's hand being severed, according to the statement of police.
The incident took place on Thursday afternoon in an abandoned house in Fatehabad village of the Upazila.
The injured are Arju, 11, son of Aslam Hossain and Mehedi, 4, son of Rokibul Islam Bablu.
Police have recovered eight other crude bombs from the store room.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Manirampur Police Station Mehedi Masud visited the spot after receiving the news. During this time, Police have recovered nine other crude bombs from the abandoned house.
Local people said After the explosion, relatives rescued the two children and took them to the Upazila Health Complex. As their condition was serious, they were transferred to Jessore Sadar Hospital. Later, the two injured children were admitted to Khulna Medical College Hospital for better treatment.
An investigation is on going. A case will be filed soon, said the OC Mehedi Masud.
