285 vehicle fires in two months: Fire Service

According to the fire service, a total of 285 vehicles were set ablaze across the country during the strike-blockade that was initiated after the clash at the BNP rally on October 28 this year.

On Sunday (December 24), the Fire Service reported that they had received 285 fire reports between October 28 and December 24, until 6 am.

Out of these, 180 buses, 45 trucks, 23 covered vans, eight motorcycles, and 29 other vehicles were burnt.

Along with the 285 vehicles, 15 structures were also damaged.

The agency further stated that within the last 12 hours until 6 am on Sunday, four buses were set on fire. Among these, three buses were burnt in Dhaka city and one in Comilla.
