3 cases filed against Milton Samadder, DB seeks seven-day remand

Three cases have been filed against Milton Samadder, founder of Child and Old Age Care, over a range of charges, including fraudulence.

During a press briefing at the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Media Centre on Thursday (May 2), Detective Branch Chief Harun Or Rashid revealed that one of the three cases was filed by Mirpur police. The charges relate to unauthorized burial of bodies, allegedly facilitated by the creation of death certificates using counterfeit seals of the city corporation.

"Milton Samaddar will be taken to the court today and the police will seek his seven-day remand in this incident," he added.

The DB chief said that the remaining two cases were filed by two other persons.

Milton Samaddar was arrested from Dhaka's Mirpur around 7:30 pm on Wednesday after allegations of irregularities and crimes in the Child and Old Age Care were published in the media.
