3 motorcyclists killed in Sylhet road crash

Three motorcyclists were killed after being hit by a truck at Jakiganj Upazila in Sylhet. The accident took place around 12.00am on Saturday (April 27) on the Jakiganj-Sylhet road in the Barthakuri area.

The deceased are identified as Delwar Hossain (36), son of the late Abdul Shukkur, Redwan Hossain (26), son of Sad Uddin, Md. Manzoor Hossain (24). All were residents of Barthakuri village under Upazila.

According to local sources, the trio left for home from Sonasar on a motorcycle at night. A truck hit their motorcycle near Barthakuri village on the Jokiganj-Sylhet road. Three motorcyclists were knocked down and seriously injured. The doctor on duty declared Redwan and Manzoor dead after they were rushed to Rabeya Khatun Chowdhury Hospital.
Delwar Hossain also died on the way to Sylhet.

Confirming the matter, Sylhet Additional Superintendent of Police (Jakiganj Circle), Yahya Al Mamun said, "Three people were killed in the road accident. legal actions were being taken in this regard."
