4 Anti-discrimination student movement members attacked in Habiganj

Four people including Habiganj unit member secretary of anti-discrimination student movement Mahdi Hasan came under attack.

The injured are - member secretary of anti-discrimination student movement Habiganj unit Mahdi Hasan, Rocky, Saidur and Antar. They have been admitted to Habiganj Sadar Hospital.

Sources said miscreants beat them up at 7 pm on Friday on their way back after a road blockade and protest march demanding the ban on Awami League.

Habiganj convener of anti-discrimination student movement Arif Talukder said that a group of miscreants beat them up in front of the old hospital in the city on their way back by rickshaw.

Sabik, the former joint convener of the organization, was recently expelled on various charges. It has been alleged that the attack was carried out under his leadership today. Shakib's statement on this matter was not available.

Habiganj Sadar Police Station OC Sajal Sarkar said that the police are investigating the matter.
