4 hanging bodies of a same family recovered in Brahmanbaria

The police have recovered the hanging bodies of four members of a same family at Nabinagar upazila of Brahmanbaria.

The incident happened on Sunday (July 28) morning in Vijaypara area of the upazila's municipal town.

The deceased have been identified as Sohag Mia (33), his wife Jannatul Begum (22) and two children Faria (4) and Fahima (2).

District Additional Superintendent of Police (Nabinagar Circle) Sirajul Islam said, “In the morning the relatives and neighbors of the deceased went to Sohag Mia's house and called them. Getting no response, they broke open the door to enter the house and saw the dead bodies of all. On information, police rushed to the spot and recover the bodies.”

He said the police have started investigating the cause of their death. The autopsy report of the recovered four bodies has been prepared. Preparations are underway to send the bodies to Brahmanbaria General Hospital morgue for post-mortem.
