44th AGM of ADAB held
The 44th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Association of Development Agencies in Bangladesh (ADAB), the coordinating body for private development organizations working in Bangladesh, was held in Dhaka.
The meeting took place on Saturday (November 30) at the CBCB Auditorium in Mohammadpur, Dhaka.
The meeting was chaired by ADAB's Chairman Abdul Matin. Representatives from nearly 200 member organizations from across the country participated in the AGM.
At the beginning of the meeting, ADAB's Director, AKM Jasim Uddin, delivered the opening remarks. During the AGM, the minutes of the 43rd AGM, the annual report, financial report, auditor appointment, and the budget and work plan for the next fiscal year (July 2024 - June 2025) were approved.
A new 15-member Executive Committee was elected for the 2025-2027 term. Unanimously, Anwar Hossain, Executive Director of HEED-Bangladesh, was elected as President, Md. Arifur Rahman, Chief Executive of Young Power in Social Action (YPSA), Chittagong, as Vice President, and Kazi Bibi, Executive Director of Participatory Development Action Program (PDAP), as Treasurer.
