Five more people died of dengue in last 24 hours while another 1,034 people were admitted to the hospital during this time. This information was informed in a press release sent from the Health Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Wednesday (November 20). The DGHS said that 347 people were admitted to different hospitals in the two city corporation areas of Dhaka in the previous 24 hours till Wednesday morning. Apart from this, 183 people in Dhaka Division, 111 in Barishal Division, 128 in Chattogram, 145 in Khulna, 36 in Mymensingh, 65 in Rajshahi Division, 12 in Rangpur Division and 7 in Sylhet Division. With this, a total 427 people died of dengue this year. And so far, the total number of dengue cases has increased to 83,154 people.

ডেঙ্গু আক্রান্ত হয়ে ২৪ ঘণ্টায় আরও ৫ জন মারা গেছেন। এ সময়ে হাসপাতালে ভর্তি হয়েছেন আরও ১ হাজার ৩৪ জন। বুধবার (২০ নভেম্বর) স্বাস্থ্য অধিদফতরের হেলথ ইমার্জেন্সি অপারেশন সেন্টার ও কন্ট্রোল রুম থেকে পাঠানো এক সংবাদ বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে এ তথ্য জানানো হয়। স্বাস্থ্য অধিদপ্তর জানিয়েছে, বুধবার সকাল পর্যন্ত আগের ২৪ ঘণ্টায় ডেঙ্গুতে ঢাকার দুই সিটি করপোরেশন এলাকার বিভিন্ন হাসপাতালে ভর্তি হয়েছেন ৩৪৭ জন। এ ছাড়া ঢাকা বিভাগে ১৮৩ জন, বরিশাল বিভাগে ১১১ জন, চট্টগ্রামে ১২৮ জন, খুলনায় ১৪৫ জন, ময়মনসিংহে ৩৬ জন, রাজশাহী বিভাগে ৬৫ জন, রংপুর বিভাগে ১২ জন এবং সিলেট বিভাগে ৭ জন হাসপাতালে ভর্তি হয়েছেন। এ নিয়ে চলতি বছর ডেঙ্গুতে ৪২৭ জনের মৃত্যু হলো। আর এখন পর্যন্ত ডেঙ্গুতে মোট আক্রান্তের সংখ্যা বেড়ে হয়েছে ৮৩ হাজার ১৫৪ জন।
