6 killed in road mishap in Sajek

Six people were killed when a dump truck fell into a ditch at Sajek under Baghaichhari upazila in Rangamati on Wednesday (April 24) afternoon.

The accident took place in the Udaipur 90 degree area of Sajek.

The deceased are believed to be workers involved in road construction near the border, said Baghaichhari Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shirin Akhtar.

She said, “We have come to know about the death of six people in the dump truck accident. As the area is inaccessible, it takes a while to reach there. Law enforcement personnel are going to the spot. We believe that all the dead are workers. However, their detailed identity is not yet known.”
