6.0-magnitude earthquake jolts Japan's Ogasawara Islands
An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.0 on Tuesday struck near the Ogasawara Islands in the Pacific Ocean, south of Tokyo."However, no tsunami warnings issued there," said Japan's Meteorological Agency (JMA).
The incident occured around 9:39am local time in Hahajima Island, reports Xinhua.
The temblor occurred at around 9:39am local time at a depth of around 50 km, measuring 4 on the Japanese seismic intensity scale of 7 in Hahajima Island, said the weather agency.
Japanese weather agency said, "The tremor struck with a magnitude of 4 at a depth of approximately 50 km."
"No immediate reports of injuries or significant damage were received." it added.
