7,414 pilgrims return home as of Sunday

After performing Hajj in Saudi Arabia, 7,414 pilgrims have returned home in 20 flights till 2:59pm on Sunday (June 23).

They started returning home from Saudi Arabia last Thursday (June 20).

Hajj management portal of the Ministry of Religious Affairs revealed this information.

According to the information provided by the Hajj management portal, so far a total of 20 return flights have landed in Bangladesh. Among these 20 flights, the number of flights operated by Biman Bangladesh Airlines was 6, 7 operated by Saudi Airlines and 7 operated by Flinus Airlines. The last flight with pilgrims will return home on July 22. Earlier, the first return flight of Hajj started from June 20.

According to Hajj management portal sources, a total of 85,257 pilgrims went to Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj this year under public and private management.

Out of this, 4,562 people went to Hajj under government management and 80,695 people under private management.

Meanwhile, 35 Bangladeshis died after going there. Among them, 28 died in Makkah, 4 in Madinah, one in Jeddah and two in Mina.
