769 arrested in Operation Devil Hunt
In the last 24 hours, 769 more people have been arrested in Operation Devil Hunt, which began across the country including Dhaka. In addition, 1,341 people have been arrested in other operations including Devil Hunt at the same time.
Police Headquarters AIG (Media and PR) Enamul Haque Sagar gave this information on Saturday (February 22) evening.
He said that 769 people have been arrested in Operation Devil Hunt in the last 24 hours. In addition, 1,341 people have been arrested in this special operation and other operations from yesterday to today.
During the time, a domestically made single-barrel gun, two cartridges, four cleavers, two machetes, one knife, one LG (shotgun), and a pair of scissors have been recovered.
Operation Devil Hunt is a special operation. Which started simultaneously across the country from February 8. On February 7, Awami League terrorists attacked students and the public in Gazipur. The attack was led by leaders and activists of the Awami League led by Sheikh Hasina, the dictator who was ousted in a student uprising. The attack resulted in several casualties and the law and order situation deteriorated.
Immediately after the incident, it was decided to strengthen the overall security system of the country through a meeting with high-ranking officials of the Ministry of Home Affairs, law enforcement agencies and other security agencies. In continuation of this, a special operation called Operation Devil Hunt began on February 8.
