9 police officers sent to retirement

Nine police officers, including an additional superintendent of Police and six assistant superintendent of police, were sent to retirement on Wednesday.

The police officials are Additional Superintendent of Police Bhuiyan Mahbub Hasan, Assistant Superintendents of Police, Mehedy Hasan Rontu, Md Azizur Rahman Sarkar, Md Mizanur Rahman, Md Akteruzzaman, Aleppa Raju Saha , Ranjit Kumar Barua, Abu Md Fazlul Karim and Md Ziaur Rahman.

Nine separate gazette notifications were issued by the Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs, signed by Senior Secretary Dr. Mohammad Abdul Momen.

The notifications stated that, in accordance with section 45 of the Public Service Act, 2018, they were retired from government service in the interest of the public.

They will be entitled to get all fringes of retirement benefits as per the rules, it added.
