Actor Waliul Haq Rumi no more

Popular television actor Waliul Haq Rumi, who had been battling against cancer, passed away at a private hospital in the capital on Monday (April 22).

He was diagnosed with cancer a few months ago.

Waliul Haq Rumi made his acting debut with BTV's popular drama "Kon Kanoner Phool", which earned him praise for his performance. After that, he acted in many dramas.

His performance in the highly acclaimed stage play "Ekhno Kreetodash" has garnered widespread attention. Alongside television, Rumi has also acted in movies.

Waliul Haq Rumi was born in Barisal. He will be buried there next to his mother's grave. He is survived by his wife, along with a son and a daughter.

Rumi's last on-screen appearance was in the popular drama series "Bokulpur," airing on Deepto TV.
