Admission policy for class XI published

The Ministry of Education has unveiled the admission guidelines for class XI. Once again, applicants are required to apply for admission online, based on their results. The admission process will be conducted in three phases.

Dhaka Education Board Chairman Tapan Kumar Sarkar said, "Online applications will be accepted from May 26 and will end on June 11."

Students can submit their applications for class XI online via the www.xiclassadmission.gov.bd website. Each student can select a minimum of five and a maximum of ten colleges according to their preference, accompanied by an application fee of Tk 150.

The results for this year's SSC and equivalent exams were announced on May 12. A total of 16,72,153 students passed, with a pass rate of 83.04 percent. Among them, 1,82,129 students achieved a GPA of 5.

According to the information of the education department, there are 25 lakh seats available for class XI across the couintrry. This indicates that even if all SSC passers are enrolled in colleges, there will still be over eight lakh vacant seats.
