Admission test results published for agricultural universities

The results of the 2024-25 first-year undergraduate admission test for nine universities under the agricultural cluster system were published on Tuesday on the official Agricultural Cluster Admissions website.

In this 100-mark multiple-choice exam, the highest score was 84.25, and the cut-off mark was 44.50. The highest total score including GPA was 129.77.

This information was confirmed by Professor Dr. A. K. Fazlul Haque Bhuiyan, Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh Agricultural University and Chairman of the Central Admission Committee. He said that this year, a total of 80,890 students appeared in the admission test for 3,863 seats across the 9 universities. The attendance rate was around 86 percent.

The Vice-Chancellor also mentioned that the pass mark for the 100-mark multiple-choice test was 40. One mark was awarded for each correct answer, and 0.25 marks were deducted for each wrong answer. The final result was prepared based on 150 marks—100 marks from the admission test, 25 marks based on SSC or equivalent results (excluding the fourth subject), and another 25 marks based on HSC or equivalent results (excluding the fourth subject). Merit and waiting lists were prepared based on this total.

Earlier, the admission test was held simultaneously on Saturday (April 12) from 3.00pm to 4.00pm at 9 university centers and 13 sub-centers. A total of 94,020 students applied for the test, and 91,037 students downloaded their admit cards.

The number of seats at the participating universities is as follows: Bangladesh Agricultural University has 1,116 seats, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University has 435, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University has 705, Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University has 275, Sylhet Agricultural University has 580, Khulna Agricultural University has 150, Patuakhali Science and Technology University has 423, Habiganj Agricultural University has 99, and Kurigram Agricultural University has 80 seats.
