Afghanistan batting first against Bangladesh in first ODI

After seven months, Bangladesh and Afghanistan face off again in the ODI format. Bangladesh lost the toss in the opening match and are bowling first.

The match began at 4:00 PM Bangladesh time at Sharjah Stadium in the UAE. With Tanzim Hasan Sakib out due to injury and Litton Das sidelined by illness, Tanzid Hasan Tamim will open with Soumya Sarkar.

Bangladesh’s playing eleven includes three pacers—Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, and Shoriful Islam—along with leg-spinner Rishad Hossain and all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz.

Afghanistan's lineup features a new face, Sediqullah Atal, making his international debut after a standout performance in the Emerging Asia Cup.

In addition, the experienced Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi will be joined by spinners Allah Mohammad Ghazanfar and Nangyalaya Kharote.
