Air force chief makes farewell visit to president
Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Shaikh Abdul Hannan paid a farewell call on President Mohammed Shahabuddin at Bangabhaban today.
The air force chief expressed his gratitude to the president for his cooperation during his tenure, President's Press Secretary Md Joynal Abedin told reporters in a media briefing after the meeting.
The air chief also briefed the president on the overall activities of the air force, including its development projects.
The president, also the supreme commander of the Armed Forces, thanked the outgoing air force chief for successfully discharging his assignment.
The head of the state, as well, appreciated his role in the development of the air force.
Shahabuddin expressed his hope that the ongoing development of the air force would continue and simultaneously the government would extend full cooperation in this regard.
During the meeting, President's wife Dr. Rebeka Sultana was present.
President's Office Secretary Md Wahidul Islam Khan and Military Secretary Major General M Adil Chowdhury were also present.
