Akhaura Land Port to remain shut for 5 days
Export and import trade with India through the Akhaura Land Port in Brahmanbaria will remain suspended for five days on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, the port authorities have said.
However, travelers with valid passports can still cross the border.
Shafiqul Islam, the general secretary of the Importers and Exporters Association of Akhaura Land Port, confirmed the matter on Saturday (6 April).
He said, "During Eid-ul-Fitr, import-export operations at this land port will be suspended for five days, from April 10 to 14."
However, despite the suspension of import-export activities, travelers holding valid passports will still be able to cross the border without disruption.
