Appellate Division trial in 2 benches from tomorrow
Due to the crisis of judges, the trials at Appellate Division headed by the Chief Justice were being conducted in one bench for a long time.
However, the President recently appointed three judges to the Appellate Division. At present, there are eight judges in the Appellate Division including the Chief Justice.
After the new appointments, Chief Justice Obaidul Hasan has formed two separate benches for conducting the trial in the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court. From tomorrow (April 4) morning, the Appellate Division trials will continue in these two benches.
The first bench of the Appellate Division is headed by Chief Justice Obaidul Hasan. The other judges of this bench are Justice Md Ashfaqul Islam, Justice Jahangir Hossain and Justice Kashefa Hossain.
The second bench is headed by the senior judge of the Appellate Division M Enayatur Rahim. The other judges of this bench are Justice Md Abu Zafar Siddiqui, Justice Muhammad Abdul Hafiz and Justice Md Shahinur Islam.
The website of the Supreme Court today (Saturday) has published tomorrow’s causelist for the two benches of the Appellate Division.
