Application time for college admission extended

The application period for getting admission in colleges (Class XI) has been extended by two days to June 13, the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee announced on Monday (June 10).

Aspirants can apply till 8pm on June 13. Earlier, the application period was till June 11, says a press release.

Students whose results are being re-evaluated can also apply for admission.

According to the press release, the students have to apply for admission online based on the results. Applications will be accepted in three phases. Students can apply for 11th admission online through www.xiclassadmission.gov.bd website.

Except for a few institutions, including Notre Dame College of Dhaka, there will be no admission test for grade XI. Out of the number of colleges to which a student applies, his or her placement will be determined based on merit, quota (where applicable) and preference.

Candidates can choose a minimum of five and a maximum of 10 colleges or equivalent institutions by paying a fee of Tk 150.

Classes will start on July 30, said the press release.
