Arafat Sunny's bowling action questioned again
Chittagong Kings' left-arm spinner Arafat Sunny is once again under scrutiny for his bowling action. Umpires have raised concerns about his action in the BPL, as confirmed by BPL Technical Committee Chairman Rakibul Hasan. Earlier in the tournament, umpires had also questioned the bowling action of his teammate Aliss Al Islam.
Reports suggest that umpires raised concerns about Arafat Sunny's bowling action during the team's final league match against Fortune Barishal on Saturday. The on-field umpires for that game were Masudur Rahman Mukul and Ravindra Wimalasiri.
Arafat Sunny's bowling action has faced scrutiny before. During the 2016 ICC T20 World Cup in India, his action was also questioned. However, he later corrected it and returned to playing.
As per the rules, Sunny must undergo a bowling action test within a week. However, he is eligible to play in the second qualifier. In this BPL season, he has taken 10 wickets in 9 matches with an economy rate of 8.30.
