Arsenal continue unbeaten streak, Man City bounce back with dominant win
Arsenal extended their unbeaten run in the English Premier League to 15 matches after a 2-0 victory over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Sunday, February 15.
The Gunners, who last lost to Newcastle 1-0 in November, are now just four points behind league leaders Liverpool. Arsenal have accumulated 53 points from 25 matches, while Liverpool sits at the top with 57 points from 24 games.
Meanwhile, Manchester City made a strong return to form after their 5-1 defeat to Arsenal, thrashing Newcastle 4-0 at the Etihad Stadium. Omar Marmoush starred in City's dominant performance, scoring a hat-trick in just 14 minutes—finding the net in the 19th, 24th, and 44th minutes. The win lifted City to fourth place in the standings with 44 points from 25 matches.
Other notable results saw Fulham edge past Nottingham Forest 2-1, Bournemouth defeat Southampton 3-1, Brentford beat West Ham 1-0, and Everton triumph 2-1 over Crystal Palace. Aston Villa and Ipswich ended their match in a 1-1 draw. Bournemouth’s win propelled them to fifth place, tied with Chelsea on 43 points, while Nottingham Forest remains third with 47 points.
Looking ahead, Wolves will face Spurs and Manchester United at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on February 16, with Liverpool taking on Aston Villa on February 19.
