She is renowned for singing Lalon Fakir’s songs. For 54 years, she has been singing Lalon, Nazrul, patriotic, and classical music. In recognition of her significant contribution to music, she has received the Ekushey Padak, the Fukuoka award from Japan (which is known as the Nobel Prize of Asia), and the National Film Award, along with numerous other domestic and international awards.
