Bandarban Sonali Bank manager Nezam Uddin transferred to Chattogram

The manager of Sonali Bank's Ruma upazila branch Nezam Uddin, who was abducted by robbers, has been transferred to Chattogram. He has been given the responsibility as the manager of the Karnaphuli branch of Chattogram for the sake of security. Ruma Branch Senior Officer (Cash) Narayan Das has been given the responsibility of Ruma Branch Management (Acting) by Sonali Bank.

The armed group KNF tried to rob Sonali Bank in Ruma Upazila of Bandarban on the night of April 2. At that time, the attackers could not open the bank's vault and kidnapped the manager Nezam Uddin. He was later rescued on April 4.

According to Sonali Bank's office order No. 13/2024 dated April 9, Nezam Uddin of Ruma Branch, Bandarban has been made Manager (Senior Officer) of Karnaphuli Branch, Chattogram. Karnaphuli Branch Manager Rezaur Rahman (Principal Officer) has been transferred to KB Bazar Branch,  Chattogram and KB Bazar Branch Manager Hossain Mohammad Ershad (Principal Officer) has been transferred to Patiya ( Chattogram) as Principal Office.

Bangladesh Sonali Bank Bandarban District Office Deputy General Manager Osman Gani confirmed the matter. He said, Nezam Uddin, the abducted manager from Ruma branch, has been transferred as manager (senior officer) of Karnaphuli branch due to security concerns.
