Bangladesh aim to clinch series today
Bangladesh will play to clinch the series over Zimbabwe today at the Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. The match will start at 3.00pm today (Tuesday).
Earlier, Bangladesh won over Zimbabwe in the first two matches of the series consecutively. The home team beat Zimbabwe by a margin of 8 wickets in the first match with 28 balls in hand and 6 wickets in the second T20 international with 9 balls in hand.
According to the statistics from ESPN Cricinfo, Bangladesh captured 3 T20 series win over Zimbabwe's 1.
The country's cricket analysts think that there is another chance to make the statistics heavy in favor of Bangladesh. They are expecting another whitewash by the home team.
Assistant coach Nic Pothas, at Bangladesh's optional practice, said, "The wicket's good, but the first 10 overs are tough for both teams. Our bowlers applied pressure well, especially early on. The opposition also has strong new bowlers. Our batsmen coped decently, but the wicket isn't easy initially."
"In international series, winning comes first. We focused on that. Experimentation comes later. Our priority was winning on this wicket, and we are to that." Pothas replied to a question about the experimentation with the bench strength
