Bangladesh Bank will issue new notes from March 31

On the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, Bangladesh Bank will release new notes in the market through 80 branche of different bank from March 31.

Common people can exchange new notes till April 9, except on weekends and public holidays.

The central bank said that new notes will be exchanged among the public from March 31 through the counters of various branches of the central bank.

Besides, new notes of Tk 5, Tk Tk 10, Tk 20, Tk 50 and Tk 100 will be exchanged from 80 branches of various commercial banks in Dhaka, Gazipur and Narayanganj under special arrangement.

A person cannot exchange money multiple times for new notes, Bangladesh Bank said.
