Bangladesh drops to 10th in ICC T20 rankings too
A few days after slipping to 10th in the ICC ODI rankings, Bangladesh has now dropped to 10th in the T20 rankings as well. The ICC released the updated standings following the second T20 match between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Back-to-back series losses to the UAE and Pakistan have taken a clear toll on Bangladesh's ranking. As a result, they lost 5 rating points. Bangladesh now has 220 rating points. Afghanistan has overtaken them with 223 points. Ireland is just behind Bangladesh with 202 points. India remains at the top of the ICC T20 rankings with the highest rating of 271 points. Pakistan, who just won the series against Bangladesh, is in 8th place with an increased rating of 229.
Meanwhile, the UAE sits at 15th in the rankings, having gained 4 rating points to reach a total of 183. Bangladesh’s highest-ever position in the ICC T20 rankings was 4th, a milestone they reached back in 2012 while proudly wearing the red and green jersey.
