Bangladesh High Commissioner Hamidullah presents credentials to Indian President

Bangladesh High Commissioner to India, M. Riaz Hamidullah, on Thursday formally presented his credentials to Indian President Droupadi Murmu.

The ceremony, held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, saw President Murmu accept credentials from ambassadors and high commissioners of Thailand, Costa Rica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Turkey, Bangladesh, and Kazakhstan.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hamidullah previously served as Bangladesh’s High Commissioner to Sri Lanka and Ambassador to the Netherlands. He is a career diplomat from the 15th batch (1995) of the Bangladesh Civil Service (Foreign Affairs).

Throughout his career, Hamidullah has held various key positions, including assignments at the Bangladesh Mission in New Delhi and the Bangladesh Permanent Mission in New York. He also served as Director at the SAARC Secretariat in Kathmandu.

At the Ministry headquarters, he worked as Secretary (West) and handled responsibilities related to multilateral economic issues, South Asian and European affairs, and regional cooperation.
