Bangladesh snatches victory in nail-biting match against Zimbabwe

Bangladesh cricket team maintained their Chattogram form in Dhaka, securing a narrow 5-run victory over Zimbabwe in the fourth match of the five-match T20 series at the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Friday. With this win, Bangladesh now leads the series 4-0.

Zimbabwe fell short in their chase of 144, getting all out for 138 runs. Jonathan Campbell top-scored with 31 runs, while Ryan Burl and Wellington Masakadza added 19 runs each to the total.

Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman made impressive returns to the team after a prolonged absence. Shakib claimed 4 wickets, while Mustafizur secured 3 wickets with their bowling performances.

Earlier, Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to field first, putting Bangladesh into bat. Bangladesh made a strong start with their opening pair, Tanzid Hasan Tamim and Soumya Sarkar, scoring 101 runs together. Tamim contributed 52 runs off 37 balls before departing, while Soumya scored 41 runs off 34 balls before getting out.

Following the dismissals of Tamim and Soumya, Bangladesh experienced a drastic batting collapse, managing only 143 runs. Zimbabwe's Luke Jogwe was instrumental, claiming three crucial wickets during the collapse..
