Bangladesh T20 WC team announced including Taskin

Bangladesh has finally announced the team for the upcoming T20 World Cup.

After deferring the announcement twice due to pacer Taskin Ahmed’s injury, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the 15-man World Cup squad on Tuesday (May 14) with Nazmul Hasan Shanto as the captain.

The press conference for the announcement of the team was scheduled at 12:30pm, but it started late.

Chief selector Gazi Ashraf Hossain Lipu announced Bangladesh World Cup team keeping injured Taskin Ahmed in the squad.

However, there was no place for pace all-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin in this team.

Besides, the team includes experienced Mahmudullah Riyad, Soumya Sarkar and Shakib Al Hasan. The team management is relying on young Tanjid Hasan Tamim for opening.

Shariful Islam and young Tanjim Hasan Shakib are with Mostafizur Rahman in pace line-up. The team includes spinners Sheikh Mehdi Hasan and Tanvir Islam.
