Bangladeshi 'shot dead' by BSF on C'nawabganj border
A Bangladeshi was shot to death allegedly by the members of the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) in Chapanawabganj's Gomastapur border on Tuesday night.
The incident took place on Rokanpur border under Radhanagar union of the upazila.
The deceased was identified as Saiful 30, son of Hasan Ali, a resident of Nagarpara village under the union.
According to the locals, "Some people along with Saiful went into Indian territory through Rokanpur border to bring cows from India. At that time, BSF's Itaghata BOP patrolling members opened fire on them. Saiful died on the spot."
BGB Rokanpur BOP Commander Naib Subedar Azad Rahman said the matter is being investigated.
