'Bangladesh-Japan ties will deepen'
Railways Minister Md. Zillul Hakim said Japan has long-standing good relations with Bangladesh. This relationship will deepen. The relationship between Japan and the people of Bangladesh has been formed since the Second World War.
Zillul Hakim said these during the meeting with the Japanese Ambassador to Bangladesh Iwama Kiminori at Rail Bhaban in the capital on Tuesday. He discussed the progress of various railway projects being implemented by Japan in Bangladesh.
The minister said, "Japan is providing financial support to Bangladesh in various development projects. Bangladesh Railway is implementing many projects. There is an opportunity for Japan to work on railway projects in the future as well."
He urged the Japanese ambassador to provide more financial support to the railway projects in Bangladesh. Japanese Ambassador assured to work with Bangladesh Railways and provide financial cooperation in the future.
