Barcelona earned a thrilling 2-1 victory against Real Valladolid in La Liga, coming from behind to claim the win on their opponent’s home turf. Goals from Raphinha and Fermin Lopez completed the comeback, boosting the Catalan side’s position in the title race.

Barcelona currently leads the league table with 79 points from 34 matches, while Real Madrid trails in second with 72 points, having played one game fewer.

On Saturday night, Barcelona and Real Valladolid clashed in an action-packed match at the Jose Zorrilla Stadium. Both sides launched constant attacks, and the hosts struck early in the 6th minute when Ivan Sanchez fired a precise shot between two defenders to give Valladolid the lead. Barcelona responded with pressure throughout the first half but couldn’t manage to equalize before the break.

Just after the second half began, Barcelona found their breakthrough. Yamal’s cross was initially blocked by the Valladolid goalkeeper, but Raphinha pounced on the rebound and scored with a superb half-volley. Then, in the 60th minute, Fermin Lopez netted the decisive goal, finishing off a brilliant pass from Gerard Martin to complete the comeback.

After the match, Barcelona coach Hansi Flick expressed his satisfaction, saying, “Our objective was to secure all three points, and I’m very pleased we did.”

He added that the victory will provide the team with added motivation ahead of the second leg of their Champions League semi-final, as well as a confidence boost going into next week’s El Clasico against Real Madrid.
