BCB appoints Salahuddin as senior assistant coach
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) appointed Mohammad Salahuddin as the senior assistant coach of the Bangladesh national cricket team.
The BCB confirmed in a press release today, November 5, that Salahuddin will hold the position until March 15, 2025.
Regarding Salahuddin's appointment, the BCB president Faruque Ahmed said, "Since taking charge, I promised to bring qualified local coaches to the national team. Salahuddin's experience and qualifications make him the ideal candidate, and I believe it's time to involve qualified Bangladeshi coaches in the process."
Salahuddin previously served as assistant coach and fielding coach of the Tigers from 2006 to 2010. He also worked as a specialist coach at the BCB National Cricket Academy from 2010 to 2011.
In 2014, he was appointed as the head coach of Singapore and led the team in the ICC World Cricket League Division 4.
Salahuddin holds an ACC-Cricket Australia Level 3 accreditation and is one of the most successful local coaches, having won both the BPL and Dhaka Premier Division titles.
The BCB hopes to have Salahuddin with the squad for the upcoming series against the West Indies. He has already applied for a visa, and if all goes smoothly, he will be in charge of the team in the Caribbean.
