The Bangladesh Cricket Board on Wednesday handed over a cheque of Tk 20 lakh to Bangladesh women's football team for their SAFF Women's Championship triumph recently. BCB president Faruque Ahmed handed over the cheque to women's Team captain Sabina Khatun. BCB directors Nazmul Abedeen, Fahim Sinha and women's football team manager Mahmuda Akter were present during the event. The team beat Nepal 2-1 in the final last month in Kathmandu to clinch the regional title for the second consecutive time.

বাংলাদেশ ক্রিকেট বোর্ড (বিসিবি) বুধবার বাংলাদেশ নারী ফুটবল দলকে সাফ নারী চ্যাম্পিয়নশিপ জয়ের জন্য ২০ লাখ টাকা চেক প্রদান করেছে। বিসিবি সভাপতি ফারুক আহমেদ নারী দলের অধিনায়ক সাবিনা খাতুনের হাতে চেকটি তুলে দেন। এ সময় উপস্থিত ছিলেন বিসিবি পরিচালক নাজমুল আবেদীন ফাহিম ও নারী ফুটবল দলের ম্যানেজার মাহমুদা আক্তার। গত মাসে কাঠমান্ডুতে অনুষ্ঠিত সাফের ফাইনালে নেপালকে ২-১ গোলে হারিয়ে করে বাংলাদেশ পরপর দ্বিতীয়বারের মতো আঞ্চলিক শিরোপা জয় করে।
