India’s missile strikes in Pakistan have heightened tensions between the two nations. In light of the situation, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is keeping a close eye on the safety of two Bangladeshi cricketers currently participating in the Pakistan Super League.

Rishad Hossain, who is playing for Lahore Qalandars, and Nahid Rana, representing Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), are under close watch by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). In a press release on Wednesday (May 7), the BCB stated that it is closely monitoring the evolving security situation in Pakistan over the past 24 hours.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has made the safety and well-being of its players in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) a top priority. The board is maintaining constant communication with Rishad Hossain and Nahid Rana. BCB President Faruque Ahmed is also personally keeping track of the developments and has spoken directly with PSL CEO Salman Naseer to ensure the players' safety and peace of mind, the release added.

Additionally, the BCB is in regular contact with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad to ensure all necessary security measures are in place for the players. The board has expressed its gratitude for the cooperation of both the PCB and the Bangladesh High Commission and continues to closely monitor the evolving situation.
