Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) President Tabith Awal had a meeting with Hamza Choudhury. Tabith Awal and BFF Executive Committee member Imtiaz Hamid Sabuj paid a courtesy visit to Hamza Chowdhury's parents in Leicester, United Kingdom, on Wednesday night (January 15). They later enjoyed the Leicester City vs Crystal Palace match with Hamza's family at King Power Stadium. During dinner, Bangladeshi-origin footballer Hamza Chowdhury expressed to the BFF President his deep interest in playing for the Bangladesh national team and wearing the red-and-green jersey. Hamza is expected to debut for the Bangladesh national football team against India in the AFC Cup qualifiers on March 25.

বাংলাদেশ ফুটবল ফেডারেশন (বাফুফে) সভাপতি তাবিথ আউয়াল হামজা চৌধুরীর সঙ্গে সাক্ষাৎ করেছেন। বুধবার (১৫ জানুয়ারি) রাতে যুক্তরাজ্যের লেস্টারে হামজা চৌধুরীর বাবা-মায়ের সঙ্গে সৌজন্য সাক্ষাৎ করেন তাবিথ আওয়াল ও বাফুফের কার্যনির্বাহী সদস্য ইমতিয়াজ হামিদ সবুজ। এরপর কিং পাওয়ার স্টেডিয়ামে হামজার পরিবারের সঙ্গে বসে লেস্টার সিটি বনাম ক্রিস্টাল প্যালেস ম্যাচ উপভোগ করেন তারা। এদিন বাংলাদেশি বংশোদ্ভূত ফুটবলার হামজা চৌধুরীর সঙ্গে নৈশভোজে অংশ নেন বাফুফে সভাপতি। তখন বাংলাদেশের জাতীয় দলে খেলার ও লাল-সবুজ জার্সি গায়ে জড়ানোর প্রতি গভীর আগ্রহের কথা জানান হামজা। ২৫ মার্চ এশিয়ান কাপ বাছাইয়ে বাংলাদেশ জাতীয় ফুটবল দলের হয়ে ভারতের বিপক্ষে হামজার অভিষেক হওয়ার কথা।
