BFF regrets over ticket sales disrupted by cyber attack
Football fans faced major frustration on Saturday night as online ticket sales for the highly anticipated Asian Cup qualifier between Bangladesh and Singapore were disrupted due to a cyber attack.
Tickets were scheduled to go on sale at 8:00pm on May 24 via the Tickify website (https://tickify.live), but thousands of eager fans were met with error messages and access issues. Many users reported being stuck mid-purchase or unable to access the site altogether, with a “503 Service Temporarily Unavailable” message appearing on their screens.
The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) acknowledged the technical failure in a press release, confirming that the disruption was the result of a cyber attack.
The federation expressed regret over the incident and apologized to fans for the inconvenience caused. They also assured supporters that immediate steps are being taken to resolve the issue and that updates on ticket sales will be announced soon.
This match marks Bangladesh's return to home turf in the Asian Cup qualifying campaign, generating significant excitement among supporters. With star players like Hamza and Shamit set to feature, demand for tickets had surged well before the sales window opened.
