Bhutan King to visit Dhaka

The King of Bhutan Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck will arrive in Dhaka on Monday (March 25) after 11 years.

During his four-day visit, the Bhutan King will to participate in the Independence Day programme at National Memorial at Savar. He will meet the President at Bangabhaban. He is also expected to have a meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Besides, it is expected to discuss the establishment of a special economic zone for Bhutanese investment in Kurigram, and cooperation in various sectors including electricity, agriculture, and health sector.

The king will leave Dhaka on March 29.
