Bidhan Rebeiro's "Nationalism in Bangladesh Liberation War Films" is in bookstores now.
On the first day of the beginning of the month of victory, the new book on the liberation war of Jagatika Prakashani came to the bookstores. The book 'Nationalism in Bangladesh Liberation War Films' is penned by film writer and critic Bidhan Rebeiro. This book highlights the representation of nationalism in the films based on the great liberation war of Bangladesh in 1971.
This book discusses and analyzes significant feature films and documentary films of fifty years, that is, from 1971 to 1921. The Bengali reader and non-Bengali reader will get a new window to think about the movie based on the liberation war of Bangladesh.
Bidhan Rebeiro's book 'Nationalism in Bangladesh Liberation War Films' published by Jagatik Publication, is priced at Tk 350. Its cover artist is Mustafiz Karigar.
For 18 years, Bidhan Rebeiro has been writing on movies as a critic and researcher. He has already published twelve books on film from Dhaka and Kolkata. Also, his writings have been published in essential anthologies, journals, and magazines. He was a FIPRESCI Jury at the 75th edition of the Cannes Film Festival.
Another book by the author named 'Kanantar: Cannes Film Festival Experience' was released from this same publication at the book fair in February this year.
