BMD predicts rainfall across the country
The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BDM) has forecasted rainfall in eight divisions of the country within the next 24 hours, starting from 9:00 am on Monday (May 6).
According to a bulletin from the Meteorological Office, there is a likelihood of rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally winds in many areas across Khulna, Barishal, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions. Additionally, such conditions may occur in a few places within Dhaka and Chattogram divisions, and in one or two places in Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions, with isolated instances of hail.
Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added.
Meanwhile, a mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna and Barishal divisions and it may abate from most places.
On Sunday, the highest temperature in the country was recorded in Chuadanga at 40.3 degrees Celsius. On the other hand, the lowest temperature was recorded in Sylhet at 19.7 degrees Celsius on Monday.
