BNP rally features symbolic figure of Sheikh Hasina inside cage
On the occasion of 'National Revolution and Solidarity Day,' BNP supporters displayed a symbolic figure of Sheikh Hasina inside a cage during their rally in the capital.
The rally, which began at 3:30pm on Friday from BNP's central office in Nayapaltan, ended at Manik Mia Avenue. It was virtually inaugurated by BNP's Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman from London.
Before the rally began, a video went viral on social media showing a symbolic representation of Sheikh Hasina locked inside a cage. The figure, dressed in a saree and white blouse, wore black glasses, had two horns made from braided hair, and her face was painted to look like a monster with artificial teeth.
Several placards were seen hanging on the cage, displaying messages like "The worst monster in Bangladesh's history," "I flee leaving all my party members," "I make innocent people disappear," "I destroy the country with India's help," and "I am the killer of innocent students," along with other sarcastic slogans.
During the rally, BNP supporters and passersby were seen taking pictures and recording videos with the symbolic representation of Sheikh Hasina.
