Body of DU student recovered from residential building on campus

The body of a female student of Dhaka University (DU) was recovered from her home in the university’s residential quarter on Fuller Road early Sunday (March 31).

The deceased was identified as Adrita Binte Mosharraf, 21, a first-year student of the Management Department and daughter of the department’s head Prof Mosharaff Hossain.

Adrita used to live with her family on the third floor of the residential building number 19 on DU campus.

According to the family sources, Adrita died by suicide early Sunday. Seeing her body hanging from the ceiling fan, family members informed the police.

Being informed, Shahbagh Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge Mostazirur Rahman said they rushed to the spot and recovered the body.
