BPL final today
The final match of the 11th edition of the BPL will take place today (February 7) between Fortune Barishal and Chittagong Kings, bringing an end to the month-long tournament.
The match was originally scheduled to start at 7.00 pm on Friday (February 7). However, it has now been moved one hour earlier and will begin at 6.00 pm. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed this change in a press release on Thursday.
Barishal is on a mission to defend their title as the reigning champions, while the Kings are aiming to win their first-ever title. Both team captains are confident about their chances of securing the championship.
Fortune Barishal captain Tamim Iqbal said, "The team that remains calmer will have a better chance of winning. I felt more pressure during the qualifying matches. I've had the privilege of playing in the final twice before. I don't usually overthink the final. I hope tomorrow (Friday) will be just like that. We all say the final is the most important match, but in this situation, staying calm is crucial. If you get nervous and can't handle the pressure, you'll make mistakes. That’s my key—whichever team stays calmer will have a better chance."
Chittagong captain Mohammad Mithun said, "We’ve faced a lot of criticism from the start, but we never let it affect us. We knew our performance would answer all the criticism. Friday’s final is our chance to prove ourselves, and we aim to show everyone by becoming champions."
