BTRC awards unified licence to Teletalk-Grameenphone-Robi

The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has granted a unified license to the country's three mobile operators (Teletalk-Grameenphone-Robi).

As a result, mobile operators will now be able to provide all types of wireless mobile services including 5G to customers under one license, said Zunaid Ahmed Palak, the Minister of State for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology.

He came up with the remarks at the license handing over ceremony at BTRC building in capital's Agargaon on Monday (March 11).

Palak also said, '"Development of the country is not possible without modern technology. The goal of the government is to build a self-reliant smart Bangladesh using information technology."

Senior officials of Teletalk, Robi and Grameenphone were present at the ceremony.
